LBC Directors and staff are pleased to have been able to support the following local charities in 2025 with generous donations made to each.

Acorns Childrens Hospice
Acorns Children’s Hospice offer a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families. They are there wherever and whenever they need them, in the hospice, community and at home. Their services include short breaks for children at our hospices, therapeutic and psychosocial support, support for siblings and other family members, emergency and end of life care and bereavement support.

Bognor Regis Food Bank
Helping local people in crisis.  Bognor Regis Food Bank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to them in crisis. They are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.

Faces Bedford
FACES are enormously proud to have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award a voluntary group can receive in the UK, often called the ‘MBE for groups’.
FACES Volunteers offer practical and emotional support to those who need it. Their diverse team of volunteers come from all over and include parents, grand-parents, and people with experience of working with children and families.​ They also train to assist in children’s centres, or take an extended course to work with families in their homes, which can be a useful step to employment or further education.

MSF is an international humanitarian organisation providing medical care in more than 70 countries.

North London Hospice
North London Hospice is a registered charity whose services are provided free of charge.  Hospice care is expensive to provide and it costs over £16 million a year to run the hospice. Approximately a third of their funding comes from the NHS and they rely on donations and legacies from generous people in the community to provide the cost of caring for three out of every four patients.

Rowcroft Hospice
Provide comfort, support and specialist care to thousands of patients and their loved ones across South Devon each year, and are determined to continue raising the money that funds our work as an independent charity.

Tapping House
Providing end of life care for patients in East Anglia.

The Mustard Tree
Combats poverty and prevents homelessness by creating opportunities to help those in need improve economic wellbeing and find settled homes. Done through community shops, training placements, support services, gifting schemes, vocational training and creative classes – offering a consistent, warm welcome to all.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance
Yorkshire Air Ambulance relies on the charitable donations of individuals and organisations to help save lives across Yorkshire.  Our air ambulance helicopters fly seven days a week, 365 days a year.
